Israel: Madonna Talks About Peace While Brandishing Firearms In Tel Aviv

Last night Madonna kicked off her world tour of MDNA in Tel Aviv, Israel, and she surprised everyone by hitting the stage holding a machine gun and revolver as a plea for peace in the middle east.
.
Madonna performed in front of 32,000 fans at Ramat Gan Stadium for what was called a “Concert For Peace” and she handed out tickets to Israeli peace activists. However the show was pure Madonna and it featured plenty of back-up dancers, consume changes and, yes, you heard us correctly: firearms.
.
The guns were featured prominently in the show and she broke a glass window with one of them during “Girl Gone Wild,” battled armed intruders during “Gang Bang” and twirled around her rifle during “Revolver.” At one point she also reportedly wrapped herself in a flag and called Israel “the energy center of peace.”
.
“You can’t be a fan of mine and not want peace in the world,” she said at one point during the show. “We all bleed the same color. If we can all rise above our egos and our titles and the names of our countries and our religions, and treat everyone around us with dignity and respect, then we are on the road to peace. If there is peace here in the Middle East, there can be peace in the whole world.”
.
There is footage of the concert below. So what do you think of Madonna’s message and is it as confusing to you ?
